Taking Brown Paper Out of the Windows
Marketing real estate to Gen Y and Baby Boomers differs a bit. When thinking about your internet marketing strategy, you may want to add the proverbial brown paper to sites where Boomers are involved, and take it down for younger buyers. Younger buyers are used to making decisions completely in a vacuum without the personal assistance–a click and confirm mentality.
While their parents may be most comfortable “subcontracting decisions to others,” including travel agents, brokers and real estate agents, those in Generation Y prefer to do plenty of research and make their own decisions.
“You have to be able to offer information that no one else has,” said Renaud, of Internet strategy and marketing firm Adviso.
This article is interesting. Salespeople are still important, but internet marketing is increasingly important.
