Getting All Dressed Up
Seth Godin said it years ago, and now the Gray Lady is catching on. The paradigm has changed. Every shop from large to small can give the appearance of looking like a big corporation with its own legal, marketing, and IT departments. Whether through video, flyers, email, or web, any person in an organization with even one employee can position themselves to have the appearance of being big and giving the perception of something much larger than reality–we all know “Perception in the marketplace is a significant factor to success.”
With the Internet being a primary source for information:
The most common way to tap the Internet’s power is probably to design a sophisticated Web site, with all the bells and whistles of a bigger company’s offering.
Create a great website, put up a blog, and market like you mean it. With the current innovations on the web and with other software, you have no reason to look like a small business.
